SOURCES OF UTILITIES:
The
main utility, which is used by MONDOL FABRICS LTD. is natural gas. From natural
gas generator produce electricity. From natural gas and electricity in
association with mechanical and electrical apparatus, MONDOL FABRICS LTD.
produces other utilities like water, steam and compressed air, ETP etc.
CAPACITY AND OTHER TECHNICAL DETAILS:
Boiler is the indispensable component in
textile industries. Boiler is of two types.
1.
Fire tube boiler
2.
Water tube boiler
According
to mill perspective, capacity, skillness & investment costs boiler
selection is carried out. MONDOL FABRICS LTD. uses three fire tube boilers to
produce the required steam.
Water
supply for the boiler:
Water
required for steam production is supplied by deep tube well.
Pretreatment
of the boiler water:
Boiler
feed water needs special standard. Any
deviation from the required standard may result in scale formation, which
eventually reduces the efficiency of the boiler. This ultimately affects the
cost of steam generation and makes the production cost high. To protect scale
formation of boiler, water hardness remover is used as chemical in water feed
tank. 700gm is injected per 12hrs. In MONDOL FABRICS LTD., there are water
softeners that act before the water enters the boiler.

COMPRESSED AIR:
Air compressor is used to supply
compressed air to the required sections in the machineries of the mill. There
are 4 air compressors in MONDOL FABRICS LTD.
WATER:
The
water source of MONDOL FABRICS LTD. is
deep tube well. The deep tube well is about 250 ft deep.
GAS:
The
source of gas is government agency. Gas is required mainly for generation of
electricity, boiler to produce steam, the burners of heat setting m/c. As
MONDOL FABRICS LTD. generates their own electricity; the gas consumption is
quite high.
EFFLUENT TREATMENT PLANT(ETP):
This
is the latest y\utility facilities of MONDOL FABRICS LTD. which is running
before few days. This plant is urgent for every mill to protect our
environment. ETP can also be defined as WWTP (Waste Water Treatment Plant).
